My Christmas wish list as someone with Lyme & fibromyalgia

I'm always on the hunt for the next thing that will help myself and my readers to feel better, and the holidays are a good time to ask for those items that may be out of reach during the rest of the year. But this year, Christmas is going to be slim because my bank account is in the red due to ongoing health issues and not being able to work my usual schedule. Since expensive (or for that matter, even inexpensive) gifts are out of the question, I thought it would be fun to come up with a wish list of chronic illness-related items I'd love to try. If Santa was real, this is what I'd ask … [Read more...]

FedUpwithFatigue.com’s 2019 gift guide for fibromyalgia & Lyme disease

I had all the best intentions. To get ahead of the holiday rush, I was going to be one of those bloggers who publish their annual gift guide in early November. This was finally going to be the year! Did that happen? Nope. And I don't even have a really good excuse. Everything started well. I began working on this year's gift guide in mid-October, so I had more than enough time to finish it early in the season, but for some reason... I just couldn't get it done!!!!! One thing after another kept delaying me: First, I couldn't think of what I wanted to put on my list this … [Read more...]

This fibromyalgia gift guide originally published on NationalPainReport.com and is being republished here with permission from the editor. This post contains affiliate links. Before I developed fibromyalgia, I loved to shop! I was one of those crazy people who got up before daybreak to get the best Black Friday deals and spent Saturdays in December at the malls. I loved the excitement of the crowds, the thrill of finding the right gift and all of the goodies waiting for me in the food court. These days? Not so much. Traditional shopping is too much for my overworked nervous system: too … [Read more...]

2016 Valentine’s fibromyalgia and ME/CFS gift guide

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and I don't know about you, but many of the traditional gifts just don't work for those of us with fibromyalgia and/or ME/CFS. I can't eat most candy because the sugar and preservatives cause me days of increased pain. I can't remember the last time I wore lingerie (and neither can my hubby, poor man). A dinner out is nice, but I'm limited in what I can eat because I've gone gluten free. I'm guessing hubby is about ready to throw his hands up and forget the whole day, so I thought I'd do him (and the other loved ones out there - or to buy as a gift … [Read more...]
