This week's fibromyalgia & ME/CFS news (week of March 21 2016) | Fed Up with Fatigue

The other day I was looking at my blog traffic stats for the past few months, and they confirmed the obvious: You guys really like the posts focusing on treatments and tips to reduce fibromyalgia symptoms. And then I noticed something else that wasn't as obvious to me: My weekly fibromyalgia news

Looking for an LDN friendly doctor? | A review of LDNDoctor.com

March 10, 2016 by Donna Gregory/FedUpwithFatigue.com |

LDNDoctor.com provides online consultations and prescriptions for low dose naltrexone via U.S.-license physicians.

Disclosure: I received a free consultation in exchange for this review, but all opinions are my own. My subscribers know by now that I'm a huge fan of low dose naltrexone as a treatment for fibromyalgia. I took LDN for about nine months in 2015, and I will be starting back on it next week. (I'll

This week's fibromyalgia and ME/CFS news (week of March 21, 2016)

I am so happy that spring has finally arrived on the East Coast! For those of us in the northern hemisphere, hopefully the warm weather will help to ease some of our aches and pains and boost our spirits. We had a mild winter here in Delaware compared to others, but it feels like the cold has been

This week's fibromyalgia and ME/CFS news (week of March 21, 2016)

The ME/CFS community was all abuzz on Monday and with good reason! They received some big, big news: Australian researchers have identified new white blood cell markers, which may eventually lead to a diagnostic test for ME/CFS.  Some of us with fibromyalgia (myself included) were also cheering a

February 26, 2016 by Donna Gregory/FedUpwithFatigue.com |

Find out how others with fibromyalgia reduce their fibro symptoms.

Last month, I asked several of my fellow bloggers to share their best tips for reducing fibro symptoms. At the end of the post, I invited readers to chime in with their own tips. This post highlights some of their responses. We all know there is no cure for fibromyalgia - at least not yet - but

I received some great news this week! You'll soon be seeing more of me online because I've been hired as National Pain Report's new fibromyalgia editor. I'm so excited to become a weekly contributor for NPR because I'll be able to raise awareness for our community while writing about the latest

This week's fibromyalgia & ME/CFS news (week of March 21 2016) | Fed Up with Fatigue

I believe that all of us with fibromyalgia and/or ME/CFS are on our own treatment journey. That's so evident when you ask sufferers what's helped with their symptoms. There is never a single answer. What works for one of us does not necessarily work for others.  There are many in the fibromyalgia

How going gluten free may help with fibromyalgia

February 16, 2016 by Donna Gregory/FedUpwithFatigue.com |

Several small studies link increased symptoms of fibromyalgia and gluten. Read about these studies and my own experience of going gluten free. | Fed Up with Fatigue

Pain News Network recently published my story on the link between increased symptoms of fibromyalgia and gluten. I'm reprinting that story here with permission from the editor.  I know some of you probably rolled your eyes when you read the headline of this story. I know that because I used to do

This week's fibromyalgia & ME/CFS news (week of March 21 2016) | Fed Up with Fatigue

I haven't felt fibro foggy over the past few weeks, but evidently I'm wrong.  Earlier this week when I got in the shower, I washed my hair, shaved my legs and washed my face. As I was toweling off, it occurred to me that I couldn't remember if I'd actually washed my body or not! I had to hop back

I really hope this weekend is more uneventful than the last one. Hubby made a surprise visit to the emergency room last Friday, and it was well into Saturday evening before I was able to bust him out of the hospital. (He's doing fine.)  We stopped on the way home to pick up salads for dinner. At

As my long-time readers know, I've been closely following the lawsuits related to Cymbalta's withdrawal symptoms on FedUpwithFatigue.com. I was recently asked by Prohealth.com to update their readers on the Cymbalta lawsuits. I'm reprinting that story here with the editor's permission.  I've

This week's fibromyalgia & ME/CFS news (week of March 21 2016) | Fed Up with Fatigue

So, you know that nasty case of plantar fasciitis I've been fighting since last spring? Well, it turns out it might not be plantar fasciitis after all. After three sets of steroid injections, laser treatments and weeks of physical therapy, my feet were still killing me, so I decided to see another
