This page is a running list of studies and blog posts highlighting treatments that have been shown to relieve the symptoms of fibromyalgia and ME/CFS. Evidence-Based Treatment Options for Fibromyalgia – This 2o12 research review by the University of Wisconsin and others found that amitriptyline, pregabalin (Lyrica), duloxetine (Cymbalta) and milnacipran (Savella) “should be considered as first-line options for the treatment of fibromyalgia.” However, the study admits only a minority of patients have significant improvement due to side effects. It concludes that “treatment should be based on a combined pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic approach, which is tailored to each individual patient.”
