From the article: “The results suggest that both low-pressure hyperbaric oxygen therapy and an eight-week program of low-impact physical exercise improve pain pressure threshold in some muscles at rest, endurance and functional capacity measured as the amount of distance walked, as well as physical performance in daily life activities,” the researchers concluded.

(FYI: I’m sharing this because the article discusses the effectiveness of the same dietary change in those with fibromyalgia.)
From the article: “Because the symptoms of Gulf War Illness are similar to those of fibromyalgia, the U.S. Department of Defense provides funding for previously tested treatments in fibromyalgia that could also help veterans suffering from Gulf War Illness. The low glutamate diet was previously shown to reduce symptoms in fibromyalgia, and thus, was a candidate for this funding.”

LymeDiseaseAssocation.org: Study reveals some tick-borne pathogens found in fleas
From the article: “Pathogenic bacteria and parasites were detected in 33.3% of total fleas collected and included Bartonella vinsonii subspecies arupensis, B. microti, and a Rickettsia felis‐like bacterium. Researchers believe this to be the first report of B. microti DNA detected from a flea, as well as the first report of a R. felis‐like bacterium from rodent fleas in eastern North America.”

From the article: “Among the 16,236 overdose deaths reported by SUDOR during the study period, illicitly manufactured fentanyl (IMF), heroin, cocaine or methamphetamine were involved 83.8% of deaths, either alone or in combination with other drugs. Nearly half of those deaths involved two or more illicit drugs.”
