After I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2014, the first book I read was Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum’s “The Fatigue and Fibromyalgia Solution.” Years later, that book remains one of only a handful that I recommend to those diagnosed with fibromyalgia.
The suggestions in Dr. Teitelbaum’s book and on his website helped me during the early years of my fibromyalgia diagnosis when my symptoms were at their worst. To this day, I still share his d-ribose protocol with anyone who asks how to better manage their fatigue.
Fast forward to a few months ago…
She loves Recovery Factors so much that she’s continued to use it even after the trial ended. I knew it must be good when she said she pays international shipping rates to have it delivered to her home in New Zealand.
“Recovery Factors helps me with sleep. The sleep leads to less pain and fatigue, which in turn leads to better enjoyment of life, more ability to do what I want to do (higher functionality) and better sleep. It’s like a reversal of the vicious cycle of fibromyalgia. I am not healed, but I am doing more of what I want with less pain and fatigue.”Melissa Reynolds, founder of Melissa vs. Fibromyalgia
A few weeks after Melissa told me about Recovery Factors, I received an email from a reader. She, too, was having good results with it.
I’ve worked with Dr. Teitelbaum on a couple of articles over the years, so I decided to contact him because I wanted to try Recovery Factors for myself. I was thrilled when Dr. T not only told me how to source my own bottle of Recovery Factors but also said he’d be happy to have me as a patient in his phase 2 trial!
But here’s the even better news…
There are around 100 spots left in Dr. T’s trial, and you guys are invited to participate, too! The details of the trial are below, but first I’d like to tell you a bit about Recovery Factors and how it’s improving the lives of people with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome.
What is Recovery Factors?
“Recovery Factors is a unique porcine serum derived polypeptide complex originally developed as a unique nutritional support supplement. It was clinically found to be safe and effective; however as people began taking it, something fascinating happened.
“Dramatic improvements were seen in fatigue, post exertion malaise, brain fog and ‘fatigue and soreness after over-exertion.’ Through these observations, it was determined that studies were needed to further evaluate its efficacy. It contains a unique naturally derived porcine protein concentrate that has been very well tolerated, despite people with these issues frequently having sensitive stomachs.
“This supplement has been used in thousands of people for well over a decade with no significant side effects being observed. The product is derived entirely as an extract from porcine blood components (i.e., from pigs). These are unique animals, raised humanely and in a very clean and healthy environment, in order to be used in human heart valve replacement surgery. It’s predominantly a purified serum polypeptide mix.”
As I mentioned above, there are about 100 spaces left in the phase 2 Recovery Factors trial. I have more than 8,000 email subscribers plus several thousand social media followers, so you’ll want to apply quickly if you’re interested in participating in the trial.
Below you’ll find a letter from Dr. Teitelbaum’s team, which provides details about the phase 2 trial.
Thank you for your interest in being part of Dr. Teitelbaum’s treatment study. We are excited that the results of the first phase of the Recovery Factors treatment study is done, and we are recruiting for the second phase with 300 people. I will note that we have about 200+ people enrolled and will be accepting the first 300 who sign up.
Fortunately, the company who manufactures Recovery Factors has agreed to make it available to the public, so you can now purchase the supplement at www.recoveryfactors.com even if you don’t make it into the study.

Phase 1 study results
During the phase 1 study, 60% of patients with fibromyalgia and/or chronic fatigue syndrome improved considerably.
From that group, the average improvement was:
- Energy – 69%
- Sleep – 54%
- Pain – 38%
- Overall well-being – 69%
- Cognition – 60%
- Anxiety – 35%
- Gut Function – 55%
- Protective antibody levels (from a subgroup that did lab testing) increased an average of 14%.
Participants experienced these improvements within one month of being on the supplement – usually within 10 days. Those are incredibly remarkable results for a single nutrient!
People were thrilled with the results. Here are some of their comments.
Recovery Factors was well-tolerated by study participants. A few people had brief stomach upset. Some were over energized with the higher dose; however, this side effect was eliminated by simply lowering the dose.
You can take part in the study from the comfort of your home. No blood testing is needed.
For the phase 2 study, the manufacturer has agreed to provide one free bottle of Recovery Factors to each of the trial’s 300 participants. However, participants will need to pay $20 to cover shipping and handling from Europe.
Participating in the study is easy:
- You need to have a diagnosis of fibromyalgia and/or chronic fatigue syndrome and be at least 18 years old.
- On a 0 to 10 scale with 0 being dead and 10 being healthy, we ask that only people rating themselves as a five or less sign up for the study.
- You cannot participate in the study if you’re on the medication coumadin.
- You cannot participate if you’re pregnant.
- You can stay on your other treatments during the study, but don’t change anything for the four weeks you are taking Recovery Factors.
- About 28 days into the study (when you have 4 to 8 pills left), you will be asked to fill out another 10-minute questionnaire.
For this phase of the study, there will be no placebo group so everyone will get the active treatment.
How to apply for the study
- Fill out this 15-minue questionnaire to determine your eligibility for the study.
- At the end of the questionnaire, you will be prompted to visit the Recovery Factors website where you will share your mailing address and pay the $20 shipping charge.
Please be aware: Due to COVID-19, it is currently taking about two months for packages to arrive from Europe to North America.
- When you receive your bottle of Recovery Factors, take four tablets three times a day for three days.
- On days 4 and 5, if your energy levels have improved, then continue to take four tablets three times a day. If there’s no energy improvement, then increase the dose to 5 tablets three times a day.
- On day 6, drop down to the regular dose of four capsules twice a day.
- There are some recommended but optional dietary changes for the first few weeks as well.
If you have any problems at all during the study, we will be available to guide you through them. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
We ask that you not enter the study unless you also commit to filling out the post-study questionnaire. This doesn’t mean that you can’t stop the treatment – just that you should contact us if you have any problems so we can guide you through them. We ask that you fill out the final questionnaire regardless of whether you completed the entire study period or not.
In case you can’t tell, I am really really excited about this!!!
