Something fun …
Fellow fibro warrior Anne Manera reached out to me this week to tell me about her new (affiliate link) Fibromyalgia Mantras adult coloring book. Here’s a sample page to get you started!
This week on FedUpwithFatigue.com…
And a quick update on me…
As most of you know, I was diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease in May. I just finished a seven-week course of antibiotics for Lyme, and unfortunately, it hasn’t helped. I’m starting on two new antibiotics this weekend. I’m learning that Lyme doctors are pretty much like fibromyalgia doctors: They just throw crap at the wall and hope something sticks.
I have had fibromyalgia for almost 30 years. I wasn’t diagnosed until 10 years into my on going pain. I was put on many medications with no success. One of the medications was Cymbalta, it made me so sick. I thought I was going crazy coming off this medication. I couldn’t move my head or eyes. My whole head felt like a freight train was going through it, I was scared, dizzy with electrical jolts. It took weeks to feel any normalcy. Here I thought I was the only one going through this hell. I wish I was part the Cymbalta lawsuit because I felt so alone. I had many doctors that were fed up with my complaints before Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue were ever mentioned. A couple years ago I had a failed Lumbar Surgery and I am dealing with that as well…God Bless all the people living with silent pain…
Unfortunately you are not alone in your experience w/ Cymbalta. According to Eli Lilly’s own research, about 50% of people experience withdrawal symptoms when they stop taking Cymbalta.
