From the article: “‘I use regular arnica on my body all of the time for fibromyalgia,’ [Lady] Gaga says, citing the chronic condition that left her hospitalized in 2017 due to severe pain. ‘I used to take prescription medication to take down inflammation, and I actually found that didn’t really work and that arnica was much more powerful.’ When Gaga began redeveloping her Haus products, she wanted to ‘explore the healing powers of arnica on the face.'”

I wouldn’t ordinarily include this sort of article in my weekly news posts, but I think it’s interesting that she’s now using arnica in her products. I’ve recently discovered an arnica-based massage oil that I sometimes use at bedtime for general aches and pains.

CreakyJoints.org: Notable Rheumatic Disease Studies at EULAR
In this article, patient advocate Eileen Davidson summarizes some of the key studies presented during 2022’s European Congress of Rheumatology conference. I think fibromyalgia is specifically mentioned only once (see section titled “Invalidation from Health Professionals and Other People”) but there were a few other studies that applied to rheumatic diseases in general that are worth reviewing.
FYI: There are several rheumatoid arthritis or psoriatic arthritis studies if you happen to have one of those conditions in addition to fibromyalgia.

Product of the Week…
The Product of the Week is Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum’s S.H.I.N.E. D-Ribose with Bioenergy Ribose.
Dr. T’s d-ribose protocol was one of the very first fibromyalgia treatments that I tried after reading about it in one of his books. It was and still is one of the only over-the-counter supplements that ever helped with my debilitating fatigue.
Never heard of d-ribose? I shared my experience with d-ribose, what it is and how it helps with fibro-related fatigue in this post from the early days of Fed Up With Fatigue.
