Since becoming chronically ill, my protocols for healing Lyme and fibromyalgia have always combined pharmaceutical and natural treatments. I’ve never been opposed to using prescription drugs to manage symptoms, but if I can achieve the same goal with a gentler, more natural treatment, then I always opt for that.
Over the years, I’ve experimented with various frequency-related products – everything from TENS and pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) devices meant to stop chronic pain to grounding pads and frequency-enhanced water.
I recently finished reading Paulette Agnew‘s book, “FAB health: Understanding Why We Become Ill So We Can Get Better,” and it has opened up the wider world of frequency and bioenergetic (FAB) medicine to me.
During Agnew’s 12-year battle with Lyme disease, she explored FAB medicine as part of her healing journey and is now sharing her knowledge with us so that we, too, might benefit from these emerging treatments.
FAB health is divided into two parts:
- How photons, frequency and electrons are the essence of life
- And how bioenergy can be utilized for detox, repair and renewal
In her book’s introduction, Agnew explains she was first introduced to FAB medicine during the later stages of her Lyme treatment when she worked with a medical practitioner who used frequency devices in tandem with supplements, acupuncture and other natural therapies.
“I soon realized that the combination of FAB treatments combined with changes to one’s lifestyle can beat the toughest of infections,” Agnew writes. “After two years of clinical and home-based treatments, without the use of antibiotics or other pharmaceutical drugs, I completely recovered from chronic Lyme borreliosis. I was determined to find out how it all works and am now sharing my findings with you in this book.”
Agnew captures the gist of the book beautifully in this summary:
“You will first learn about the existence of your holographic body, the invisible world of electrons, protons, frequency and energy flow. Through this knowledge, we then explore how illness can arise when a disturbance happens at these levels. Frequency and bioenergy treatments can enhance and balance this layer of life, aiding the healing process.”
Agnew spends a few short pages giving an overview of how she contracted Lyme and ultimately healed from that debilitating condition before diving into the real meat of the book.
Part 1 of the book includes chapters on photons and electrons, alkalised water, magnetism, frequency and bioenergy technology decoded and how to supercharge your blood, among other topics.
Part 2 discusses cell repair and renewal, how to achieve a healthy liver, removing toxins and chemicals from the body, the benefits of glutathione and so much more.
Throughout the book, she introduces the reader to numerous FAB medicine tools such as Rife machines, PEMF, bioresonance, zappers and photobiomodulation, along with tips for how to incorporate frequency and bioenergy modalities into everyday life.

My FAB health book review…
If you’re someone who really likes to get down into the weeds of research and understand how things work, you’ll love FAB health! I really appreciated Agnew’s ability to cover complex topics in easy-to-understand language. That skill is especially helpful for those of us who struggle with reading comprehension due to brain fog.
For those who wish to further their study of FAB medicine, Agnew includes a handy reference section in the back of the book, which lists studies, websites, books and other resources.
If you’re someone like me who is more interested in what works rather than the how or why, then FAB health still has plenty of material to hold your interest. In particular, I found chapters 11 and 12 very helpful. In chapter 11, Agnew explains various FAB treatments and their benefits.
Chapter 12 has a bulleted list of how to utilize the natural elements of air, earth, water, light/photons and earth magnetism to incorporate frequency and bioenergy into day-to-day life. Many of the suggestions are free or low cost, which is great for those of us who are on limited budgets.
I really liked Agnew’s chatty style of writing. As I read her words, I often found myself nodding my head up and down in agreement as if she were sitting right beside me. For example, I knew Agnew and I could be great friends when I read the following paragraph:
“Never hand your power over completely to any one therapist or doctor blindly. Question everything and do your own research. Lay out your strategy and your plan of action. Have your backup plans ready for the bad days and those times when you think you are getting nowhere fast. Always have faith in yourself and never underestimate your own strength, even when all hope seems lost.”
That paragraph is perfection! I couldn’t have written it better than she did!
At the end of the book, Agnew mentions that she plans to publish more FAB-related books in the future. Her second book in the series will cover how certain European clinics are successfully treating chronic illnesses by combining technology, FAB-related devices and natural healing modalities. At the time of this review, it doesn’t appear that Agnew has published that book yet, but I am looking forward to it when she does.
The final pages of the book detail a bit about Agnew’s Beyond Fatigue online program for people with chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, Lyme disease and similar illnesses. The content of her program looks amazing, and the cost is extremely reasonable – so much so that I’m considering signing up.
Turning back to the book, I’d recommend FAB health for anyone who is looking for chronic illness treatments that go beyond – FAR beyond – the conventional medical system’s usual suggestions of pills, exercise and physical therapy. There are plenty of FAB therapies sprinkled among the pages to explore such as Rife, laser therapy, infrared, bioresonance and so much more!
Now it’s your turn: Have you incorporated frequency and bioenergetic medicine into your treatment protocol for chronic illness? If so, please share your experiences in the comments section below!

Hi Donna. I have so appreciated your blog and your research. I have a question I barely know how to word. I had an MRI a couple weeks back looking for physiological reasons for achange in my migraines. Interestingly after the MRI I experienced about 30 hours completely (fibromyalgia) pain free and no fatigue ( from my chronic fatigue syndrome) i felt 20 years younder suddenly. Then crashed the next day. I cant help but think the magnets of the MRI had something to do with it.
Does that sound like something this book might address?
Jodi
Hey Jodi, I don’t think the author mentioned magnets in her book. However, I have heard about the benefits of using magnets for chronic pain. I know they make magnetic pads that you can put on your bed and are supposed to help w/ sleep/pain. I’d love to try one in the future.
Hey Jodi, I just ran across this article and thought of you. https://www.healthrising.org/blog/2020/07/20/tms-magnetic-stimulation-fibromyalgia-lasting-relief/
I’ve not ever considered this type of therapy. Sounds interesting, especially since you are positive about it. I may need to look into reading this book to find out more. Thanks for the honest and helpful review, Donna.
