LymeDisease.org: House approves increased funding for Lyme disease
From the article: “The House of Representatives today approved a package of spending bills that includes $20 million in Lyme disease funding for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The fiscal year 2021 amount represents a 43% increase over CDC Lyme funding from the previous year.”
From the article: “The professional membership body for family doctors in the U.K. has shared concerns about proposals to stop prescribing common painkillers such as paracetamol, ibuprofen, aspirin and opioids for people with chronic primary pain. In a potential major shake-up, the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has issued draft guidance to GPs in England to say these medicines do ‘more harm than good’ and recommends that acupuncture, exercise programmes, psychological therapy and even antidepressants be used instead.”
FibromyalgiaResources.com: Misophonia in fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome
From the article: “There is a new (at least to me) term called ‘misophonia’ in which sounds can cause severe reactions in people. It has occurred to me that many of us with fibromyalgia experience extreme discomfort over certain sounds. For me, it is the clicking of heels on pavement, a dog slurping its food, chewing loudly by others, humming of a motor or heating system, a baby crying, boom boxes … the list is endless.”
TreatLyme.net: SOT treatment for Lyme Disease
From the article: “Supportive Oligonucelotide Therapy (SOT) is a new treatment for Lyme disease. SOT is also called Antisense Oligonucelotide Therapy (ASOT) which is the term used in medical research papers. SOT uses laboratory derived nucleic acids (genetic code) that blocks production of disease causing proteins or even gene expression. These pieces of genetic code are called oligonucleotides. You can think of oligonucleotides as a genetic message.”
And an extra…
Jill Carnahan: Electrohypersensitivity | Is technology making you sick?
From the article: “Electrohypersensitivity, also known as electromagnetic hypersensitivity, is a heightened sensitivity to electromagnetic fields (EMFs). EMFs … are a type of radiation that occurs when a current of electricity flows in a given direction. Some EMFs occur naturally … but since the discovery of electricity, man-made EMFs have been consistently rising. Today, nearly all of the technology we depend on emits some levels of EMFs.”

Quick product review…
A few weeks ago, I posted a review of Aromalief’s hemp pain relief cream. I liked almost everything about it except that it contained a bit of artificial fragrance. After my review posted, the owner sent me a tube of her Calming Pain Relief cream, which is scented exclusively with natural essential oils!
I’ve been using it for a few days, and it works just as well as Aromalief’s original hemp cream except that it’s more lightly scented! It’s perfect for those of us who are sensitive to artificial fragrances!
