TheMighty.com: Why I’m urging everyone to create a tick kit

Wildlife experts have predicted an uptick (pun intended) in Lyme disease cases this year because of a surge in the mouse population. This article includes instructions on how to create a simple tick kit to be used in case you’re bitten.

By the way, there’s been a meme (i.e. a graphic) circulating on Facebook that says to apply peppermint essential oil to the tick to force it to let go of its bite. Please do NOT apply anything to the tick. Applying oils, petroleum jelly, rubbing alcohol, etc. will potentially cause the tick to regurgitate the contents of its stomach, which increases your chance of contracting Lyme. Here are instructions for the right way to remove a tick.

I am wondering if the product I wrote about some weeks ago will ever be shown to others? I am also wondering if you did “speak”about it online and I missed it? It had to do with the “natural”supplement PEA.
have you researched it yet? It is a wonderful help for people suffering from chronic pain etc. I

I approved your comment shortly after you submitted it, so it is available for people to see and read it. I haven’t had a chance to research PEA yet but have it on my to do list. Please understand that I have readers/companies who suggest various treatments to me pretty much every day, so it would be impossible for me to research and write an article about every single one. I do encourage my readers to share what works for them, however, b/c that helps us all learn from one another.
