Organic Life: Exactly what you should do if you think you might have Lyme disease – from someone who has had it

This is a good overview of steps to take if you think you might have been exposed to Lyme. (I wrote a similar article last year.) There’s a lot of overlap between the symptoms of Lyme, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. I’ve had the opportunity to talk with numerous Lyme specialists since my own Lyme diagnosis last year, and they all tell me that the bulk of their patients were diagnosed with fibro, chronic fatigue, MS and similar conditions before finding out they actually had Lyme.

Thank you so much for your post on My Favorite Things for Fibromyalgia”. It was there that I learned about LDN. My daughter who is now almost 24 was totally disabled from FM, but she has been getting continuously better since taking LDN.

Why don’t doctors tell us about this stuff. I had her at the Mayo clinic in Florida back in December. No mention from them about LDN. And our new local dr. who seems very up on things also did not tell us about it. Could they get in trouble if they bring it up?
    Thanks again!!!!
ps Good luck with your Lyme disease. I mentioned before I had it for a year. You can get better. Be sure to take acidophilus one hour before or two hours after antibiotics. I used to take about 4 capsules 3 times a day. Keeps your gut happy for the duration.

    • Donna Gregory/FedUpwithFatigue.com says:

Hi Laurie, I’m so glad your daughter is improving with LDN. Your comment made me want to do a happy dance!!!! I think most doctors don’t know about LDN, and if they do, they’re hesitant to prescribe it b/c there have only been the two small Stanford studies. Most doctors want studies w/ hundreds of patients to prove effectiveness. I think LDN is a miracle drug for some people and am so glad I’m able to educate others about it!
