Futura Genetics review

Disclosure: I received a Futura Genetics DNA test as part of a product review through the Chronic Illness Bloggers network. Although the product was a gift, all opinions in this Futura Genetics review are my own, and I was in no way influenced by the company. Futura Genetics review ... Would you want to know if you were genetically predisposed to having certain life-altering conditions? I know not everyone feels this way, but I definitely would! For me, the more information I know about potential health issues, the better. It helps me to make better decisions regarding my health. So … [Read more...]

5 unusual things to improve your sleep

This article on "5 Unusual Things to Improve Sleep" first published on NationalPainReport.com. It is being republished here with permission from the editor.  (This post contains affiliate links.) Nonrestorative sleep is one of the primary symptoms of fibromyalgia. But words like “nonrestorative” and “unrefreshing” don’t adequately describe fibromyalgia sleep. Instead, I like to reference one of my hubby’s favorite TV shows when I try to explain to healthy people what I feel like when I wake up in the morning. I call it “The Walking Dead” kind of tired. If you’ve ever watched the … [Read more...]

The Fay Farm Serenity CBD Lotion Review

I received free product in exchange for this The Fay Farm Serenity CBD Lotion review. I received no financial compensation. All opinions are my own. The Fay Farm Serenity CBD Lotion review A couple of months ago, my friend Julie over at Counting My Spoons introduced me to The Fay Farm's Healing CBD Hemp Lotion, and it quickly became my go-to body moisturizer. (You can read my Healing CBD Hemp Lotion review here.) It's ultra moisturizing, smells great and contains natural ingredients. The CBD helps my fibromyalgia pain. I thought it couldn't get better. I was wrong. There is a new love … [Read more...]

My 6 favorite things for fibromyalgia relief

The original version of "My 6 favorite things for fibromyalgia relief" was first published on NationalPainReport.com. It has been updated and is being reprinted here with permission from the editor.  (This post contains affiliate links.) I bet that headline caught your attention. I know it did because I’ve read my share of these types of articles over the years, hoping one of my fellow fibromyalgia warriors finally figured out a way to bring my suffering to an end. But if you have fibromyalgia, then you know it is the ficklest of conditions. What works for one of us does not … [Read more...]

2016 Valentine’s fibromyalgia and ME/CFS gift guide

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and I don't know about you, but many of the traditional gifts just don't work for those of us with fibromyalgia and/or ME/CFS. I can't eat most candy because the sugar and preservatives cause me days of increased pain. I can't remember the last time I wore lingerie (and neither can my hubby, poor man). A dinner out is nice, but I'm limited in what I can eat because I've gone gluten free. I'm guessing hubby is about ready to throw his hands up and forget the whole day, so I thought I'd do him (and the other loved ones out there - or to buy as a gift … [Read more...]

Topricin My Pain Away Fibro Cream review

Note: I was not compensated in any way for this Topricin My Pain Away Fibro Cream review. I purchased the product with my own money, and all opinions are my own. Anyone who's had fibro for a while knows there are lots of lotions and potions that claim to heal our aches and pains. I'm not embarrassed to say I've spent my share of money on these, hoping to find something that works. Sometimes I discover products I really love, but most times I end up standing in the returns line, requesting my money back. So when I saw a post on Facebook for My Pain Away Fibro Cream, I didn't hesitate … [Read more...]

Dr. Teal’s Pure Epsom Salt Body Lotion Review

If you’ve visited my recommended products page, then you know I’m a big fan of Dr. Teal’s Soothe and Sleep Body Wash in the lavender scent. A couple of weeks ago, I was shopping at Walmart, and I noticed the Dr. Teal's Pure Epsom Salt Body Lotion in several different scents. I was excited to try Dr. Teal's Epsom Salt Lotion because it appears to combine two products that I absolutely love: Morton Epsom Lotion and Bath & Body Works’ Aromatherapy body creams. I recently finished up my last tube of body cream, so I bought Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salt Lotion ($4.87 at Walmart) in lavender as a … [Read more...]
